Declan Hollywood B.D.S.
Declan graduated from Queens University, Belfast in 1977. He returned to his home town of Dundalk in 1978 and opened The Dental Surgery at 6 Dublin Street. Over the years he has been very active in promoting post graduate education for dentists in practice. He has also been deeply involved in development of dentistry in Ireland and is a past President of the Irish Dental Association.
Declan has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and is a regular attendee at courses and seminars on this subject. He is also a member of the Irish Faculty of Primary Dental Care
Orla Mc Evoy B.A. B.Dent.Sc.(Hons)
Orla graduated with Honours from Trinity College, Dublin in 1997. She worked for a short period with the HSE in Kilkenny before returning to her hometown, Dundalk and joining the practice in 1998.
Orla is a member of the Irish Dental Association and the Irish Faculty of Primary Dental Care. She is highly committed to continuing education and attends regular dental courses and meetings.
Margaret Gormley B.D.S.
Margaret qualified from Queens University, Belfast in 1997. Having spent five years working in Manchester, Margaret joined the practice in 2002. She took eighteen months out in 2006 during which time she worked in private dental practice in Sydney, Australia.
Margaret is a member of the Irish Dental Association and attends regular courses to keep up with the latest developments in dentistry.
Fergus Friel B.A. B.Dent.Sc. (Hons)
Fergus graduated with an honours degree from University of Dublin, Trinity College, in 2002. Having worked in private practice in both Dublin and Co. Monaghan, Fergus joined the practice in 2006. Fergus’ interests within dentistry are Endodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry. Fergus enjoys partaking in regular courses to further his knowledge, through his membership of the Irish Dental Association and the Irish Faculty of Primary Dental Care.
Aimee Mc Gahon B.A. B.Dent.Sc.
Aimee graduated from the University of Dublin, Trinity College, in 2002. Having worked in private practice in Dublin, Aimee moved back home to Dundalk in late 2003 taking up a position at The Dental Surgery. Aimee is a member of the Irish Dental Association and is interested in many aspects of General Dentistry. She particularly enjoys treating children and anxious patients.
Saskia Degenaar BChD (Hons)(Leeds) MFDRCSI
Saskia graduated from the University of Leeds with Honours in 2004. After qualifying she took up a two year General Professional Training Post in Glasgow. In 2006, Saskia returned here to Ireland to work at the Dental Surgery. She is a friendly dentist who enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. She is committed to her Post Graduate education and is keen to keep up to date.
Mary Mc Knight B.D.S.
Mary qualified from Queens University, Belfast in 1999. After completing her vocational training and having spent a further year and a half in Belfast, she then moved to Drogheda. She joined the practice in August 2008. She is currently a member of the British Dental Association. She has a special interest in restorative dentistry.

Ann Harmon Practice Manager
Highly experienced and knowledgeable in all aspects of dental work, our practice manager Ann, provides liaison between staff and patients. She has overall responsibility for the non-clinical areas. She is especially keen that your experience of our practice should be positive and rewarding. Ann has worked at the dental surgery for over 25 years and will be happy to answer any queries you may have.
Edele Cuthbert Assistant Manager
Edele is a qualified dental nurse and dental radiologist and has twelve years experience at the surgery. She will answer any queries regarding Social welfare or medical card claims. As the designated infection control link nurse, she strives to ensure our practice constantly monitors and reviews all procedures currently being used and strictly adheres to all guidelines issued by The Dental Council and Department of Health.
Mairead Finnegan Head Receptionist
Mairead is a qualified dental nurse started at the practice in 2001. She left the practice for a number of years but returned in 2007 as Head Receptionist. She leads a team who are committed to giving the highest possible patient care to ensure that all patients are at ease during their visit.
